9/11 Memorial Concert to be held at ArtsPark

Tomorrow marks the 11th anniversary of the tragic attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon which claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people. There have been no successful attacks since that fateful day in 2001, but that one attack 11 years ago still affects many Americans to this day.

The city of Hollywood is one of many cities throughout South Florida that will host a special event to remember those lives lost in the attacks.

This special memorial concert will be presented by the America Legion 9th district and will be held at the Arts Park at Young Circle amphitheater.

Tenor James Perkowski will perform with
The American Legion Symphonic Band
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. with scheduled performances by The American Legion Symphony Band, with vocalist James Perkowski, and The Florida Police Pipe and Drum Corps.

There will also be tributes to current members of the Hollywood Police, Fire, and EMT departments and Veterans throughout Broward County as well as a remembrance of the fallen heroes and victims of the September 11 attacks.

Admission is Free. For more information, contact the American Legion Post #304 at (954)-921-7532.
