Top 5 Hollywood Attractions

Coming to Hollywood? Don't know what to do? Here's a list of the top-5 places to check out next time you're in town.

5. ArtsPark at Young Circle

Located on US-1 and Hollywood Boulevard in Downtown Hollywood, ArtsPark has something for everyone. This round, 10-acre park has an amphitheater, a playground, running trails, and plenty of open grass areas. The park hosts different events every week from musical acts to festivals for children. Probably its most well-known event is the food truck festival which happens every Monday from 5:30 to 10 p.m. For more information and full lists of events in ArtsPark, visit the park's official site.

 4. Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine

If you're looking for genuine Cuban food in Hollywood, the only place to go is Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine. This restaurant sets itself apart from all the other Cuban restaurants in Hollywood with its elegant design and 5-star like service. First opened in 1984 by Antonio Vilariño, who emigrated from Cuba in the 1980 Mariel boatlift, this small family-owned restaurant has grown into one of South Florida's most recognized Cuban restaurants with locations from Miami to Fort Lauderdale.

 3Hollywood Boulevard Historic Business District

This strip, which runs from 21st Avenue to Young Circle on Hollywood Boulevard, is one of Hollywood's most historical sites. In fact, it is registered under Broward County's National Register of Historic Places. More from the national register:
"The Hollywood Boulevard Historical Business District contains one of the finest concentrations of 1920s commercial buildings in Broward County. ...The district is comprised of 48 buildings, four objects (sculptural memorials), two sites (parks) and one structure (a band shell demolished). It covers approximately 18 acres and contains mainly masonry vernacular buildings, most of which were constructed between 1921 and 1946."
Today, this historic district is now more of an entertainment district filled with all kinds of restaurants, clubs, and plenty of stores for the shoppers.

2Hollywood Beach

It was difficult to put Hollywood Beach at #2 because of the seemingly endless entertainment it offers. Located on Ocean Drive between Hallandale Beach Boulevard and Sheridan Street, this 3 mile boardwalk is the perfect place to go for beach junkies and people who are just looking to relax. With Oceanfront parks, outdoor concerts at Hollywood Beach Theater, shops, restaurants, biking and running trails, and so much more, you might need to stay at one of the many hotels on Hollywood Beach to really take it all in.

 1. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood

When people think of Hollywood and entertainment, the first thing that comes to mind is the Hard Rock. With dozens of restaurants, shops, and plenty of bars and night clubs to choose from, you're going to need to get a room at this hotel once the night is over. But if you're not ready to call it a night just yet, then head over to the 145,000-square-foot casino and test your luck on one of the 2,500 slot machines, blackjack tables, or the state-of-the-art poker room.
