Downtown Hollywood ArtWalk this Saturday

The ArtWalk in Downtown Hollywood is held the third Saturday of every month. This three hour event will feature a variety of local and international artists in the Hollywood area.

This Saturday, Oct. 20, Downtown Hollywood will become the hot spot for artists and art enthusiasts. The event will have free on-street parking and $1 per hour parking in the 19th and 20th Avenue Municipal Garages.

From the Downtown Hollywood ArtWalk official page:

"Enjoy an enchanted evening strolling quaint, tree-lined sidewalks while being serenaded by the sounds of a jazz saxophone, or the soft strings of a violin or harp. Take a moment to look over the shoulder of an artist painting and visit the art galleries and businesses showcasing local, regional and international artwork."

The ArtWalk will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., but there will be activities throughout the day. 

One of these activities is the "En Plein Aire Hollywood". This is a live, three-hour painting competition which will begin at 1 p.m at the Comfort Zone Studio and Spa. See the registration form for more information.  There are three categories:

• Plein Aire Competitive, must paint live scene in Downtown Hollywood
• Plein Aire Fun, paint anything
• Plein Kids for artists 16 and under,  paint anything

The dates for the next Downtown Hollywood ArtWalk are Nov. 17, Dec. 15, and Jan 19.
