Dog Water Park Open for October


Do you enjoy the pleasant scent of a wet dog? Have you been looking for a water wonderland to unleash your little friend along with other canines? Well thanks to the City of Hollywood, you're in luck!


Castaway Island at T.Y. Park is hosting K9 Water Festivals on weekends throughout October. Dogs will be allowed to run free in the gated water playground.

Admission is $5 per dog for a 50-minute session. There is also a $1.50 charge for humans to enter the park, but you're not allowed to join in on the fun. Before dogs can enjoy the water park, there are some rules. From the K9 Water Festival official site:
  • All dogs must be off leash when inside the facility
  • Dogs Must be sociable and well behaved
  • Proof of current rabies vaccination and county license tag
  • Dogs are limited to two sessions per day
  • Dogs must be at least 4 months of age
  • Each dog is limited to 2 sessions per day

K9 Water Festivals is an annual event held in various parks across Broward County. The other park participating this year is Quiet Water Park in Deerfield Beach. 

The dates for K9 Water Festival at Castaway Island at T.Y Park are: Oct. 6, 7, 20, and 21.
